Five things to avoid doing while playing at poker table

If you are thinking of making your way to play poker online, then there are few things you should keep in mind to keep yourself on a table for a longer run. Your manners and etiquette will define who you are. Even if you are a skilled player, but at the end, it's your actions and behavior that will define you as a player in front of other players. Here we are with the list of things that, as a player, you should avoid. Let's dive in.

1) Slowrolling

Slow rolling became a hot topic after Mike Matusow menaced to harm his opponent player, who broke him early during a WSOP online bracelet event because he believed the player slow-rolled before making the winning call. Slow rolling is one of the most scowled upon practice in poker. When you slow roll, you intentionally pause before revealing your winning hand, which players should not do in the poker game.

2) Eating While Playing

Do not eat in the middle of the game, whether you call it manners or cleanliness. At any cost, don't bring your handy snacks with you since no one would like that someone is eating their favorite food and is playing the game with the same hands. It's relatively better to stay patient during the game and wait for the break to have some food. What you can do is check out the areas where you can find food and can eat too. Utilize that break time and get yourself re-energized.

3) Being Antisocial

Playing with your opponents doesn't mean you cannot have any fun and enjoyment at the table. You are allowed to talk with your fellow players, and also you can have some fun with them. It is not suggested to become over-friendly with them, but to at least have minimal conversations so that you don’t come out as anti-social.

4) Playing Above Your Means

Another most important thing to avoid while you play poker game is that you play above your means. Having proper bankroll management is extremely important while rushing towards the poker game, especially if you are a novice player. It's quite obvious for new players to get fascinated by a huge amount and winnings, but a player should always keep in mind the playing limit. Don't run after a certain tournament if you cannot afford it. It's no necessary that playing high stake games will help you win more. Even playing on with small stakes can also raise your winnings and increase your bankroll.

5) Being Rude To The Dealers

Being rude to the dealers certainly creates a negative image of yours. It isn't a good thing that other players remember you as a rude player who usually argues with the dealers or other players. Being nice and friendly doesn't cost you anything. Although, in the longer term may be your goodness and kind nature can help you in a certain manner.
